Today, we want to take you to the past. Can you remember your mothers’ old sewing machine? These machines were always interesting things for the children to play with. On the other hand, today, most people are about to forget these amazing sewing machines. However, if you have one in your home, you can easily repurpose it for creating a beautiful vintage sewing machine planter.

DIY Vintage Garden with Old Sewing Machine Base

For a vintage sewing machine planter, you will need an old sewing machine base or table, a wooden crate, potting soils, and lovely plants. As a first way, you can use your old sewing machine as simple tables for your pot plants. Or you can put a wooden crate on it for using as a planter. For both ways, you should find a suitable place in which you put your old sewing machine planter. Gardens, porch, patio, and any other place could be suitable for your vintage planter.  If you want to paint the sewing machine table or wooden crate, you will also need different colors. Either you can draw any shapes or you can paint them randomly. Also, it will be better to use wood preservative paint to make it more durable against sunlight or cold weather.

After you finished the basic steps of the DIY vintage sewing machine, you can fit your pots or wooden crates for your lovely plants. You can choose any kind of plants that you like such as succulents, hydrangeas, and different herbs. You can use these vintage sewing machine table base planter for your balcony, garden, or your indoor places. They will make your indoor or outdoor places more beautiful and authentic. Also, it is a good idea for recycling and repurposing.  I hope you will pretty much love this easy vintage DIY idea.
