Driftwood Christmas Tree: Ornamental Tree Project For Christmas Decoration

While Christmas approaches day by day, we are in sweet worry about decorating our home. Naturally, tree projects come into our minds first. On our website, we have shared a few DIY ideas on outdoor tree project such as street art as tree yarn bombing and tree stump fairy garden. But in this article, I am going to stress driftwood Christmas trees as an indoor tree project. To put it simply, a driftwood Christmas tree is an ornamental tree consisted of a few wood pieces brought by sea waves and also a part of Christmas decoration. Also, there will be a how to make your driftwood Christmas tree at the end of the article.

A) Making or Ordering a Driftwood Christmas Tree

Driftwood pieces are generally by the seashore. There is the only thing you should do is to allocate some time for collecting driftwoods. Cutting down a tree is both much time-consuming and posing a threat to nature. Instead of cutting down a tree, gathering driftwoods is more reasonable. Meanwhile, there is also an order option. According to its price, it varies from $50 to $200. Having delivered to you, Similarly, you could assemble the wood pieces in a Scandinavian style. That is a cleaner way to have your ornamental tree. As an option, you may consider it as a Christmas decoration.

B) Ornaments and Little Decors

There are a vast amount of ornaments and little decors to hang from a driftwood Christmas tree. These are stars, lighting balls with the wire, angels, seashells, hearts, pine cone ornaments, and so on. Smaller ones should be upside of tree and vice versa. If you want to make your tree look rich, you can hang a couple of them by binding each other. Plus, if it is made out of plastic or synthetic, a mounted animal head, generally it is a deer head, will complement the Christmas decoration. Besides, you can put a rug under the Christmas tree, and also gift boxes could be around the tree.

C) Do It Yourself – How To Make a Driftwood Christmas Tree

In the article, there is two different way of assembling driftwood pieces to make a driftwood Christmas tree. One of these is on pictures. Other is on below headings.

1) Materials & Tools

A drill
50 pieces of driftwoods
A metal/wooden pole
A round slice of trunk base / A stone base

2) Instructions

1) First of all, clean all of the driftwood pieces since it holds microorganisms like viruses, bacteria, and other forms.
2) Open such a hole into the middle of the stone base that the metal pole can sit into it firmly.
3) Open a hole into the middle of each driftwood pieces. But small ones could be fragile.
4) After that, slide them towards the stone base.
5)Large ones must be at the lower part of tree branches. Likewise, smaller ones must be at the upper part of tree branches.
6) Each wood branches must indicate different directions.
7) Finally, decorate all of the tree branches as you wish. And complete the Christmas decoration.
